Safari Cookies is the only cookie manager built for Mac OS X 10.5+ to integrate directly into Safari, for minimum disruption to your browsing experience
If you're struggling to keep track of your cookies in Safari, this is the ideal tool to use. It can be difficult to organise and clear them out without getting rid of vital ones used in sites you visit quite often, and if you're saving your login details for an online casino or keeping track of your points on Kongregate, it's a useful little bit of code to have ticking away in the background."

!Important

Safari Cookies requires SIMBL (for Snow Leopard 64bit support), which is conveniently included in the installer.
The installer will detect if it needs to install SIMBL (Snow Leopard, or Leopard version), and will do so if it is required. - Older versions of Safari Cookies (0.8 and below, will be automatically uninstalled)
There are known compatability issues with SafariStand, and Saft. You may need to uninstall these first, before installing Safari Cookies.

Configuring Safari History for Automatic mode

Usage notes

Install Safari Cookies from the installer, and access preferences through Safari's preference menu.
When using Automatic mode, for best results, configure Safari to remove History items at a predefined date - (see image above)
When exporting favorites, only the domain "names" are exported, not the actual cookies.

System Requirements

Mac OS X 10.5+
For pre leopard cookie management, use SafariPlus

Installation Info

Safari Cookies requires SIMBL, and is installed into the folder /Library/Application Support/SIMBL/Plugins/
All of Safari Cookies preferences are stored as keys in Safari's preference file ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Safari.plist (with the prefix "SC")
An uninstaller is included in the Safari Cookies preference pane, which will delete all traces of Safari Cookies - should the need arise

Manual Uninstall

Delete the folowing file/folder:
/Library/Application Support/SIMBL/Plugins/Safari Cookies.bundle
~/Library/Application Support/Safari Cookies/

Alternatively, download, and run the following script: Uninstall Safari Cookies.zip (233kb)

Safari Cookies was built using source code from SafariPlus (Creative Commons license), and Safari Adblock (GPL licence), and uses SIMBL to inject code into Safari.
